Veridian's Prime Win Continues 22-Year Legacy of Supporting Major
Naval Aviation
Arlington, VA (May 3, 2002) -- The Navy has awarded Veridian a cost-plus-fixed-fee
contract valued at approximately $25 million (if all options are
exercised and full funding received) to provide engineering and
technical service support to Naval Aviation. The contract has an
eight-month base period and four option years.
As the prime contractor, Veridian will continue to provide
engineering and technical services to support the F/A-18, T-45,
EA-6B, Joint Strike Fighter and X-31 project offices, says
Veridian Program Manager Anna Long. Veridian has supported
Strike Aircraft Test Squadron flight test project teams for the
past 22 years, beginning in 1979 with the F/A-18 full-scale development
principal site test program at Patuxent River, Maryland.
Services supporting the five Naval Air Warfare Directorate Aircraft
Division project offices include test planning and operations, functional
engineering, documentation, flight operations coordination, and
corporate operations and systems support.
Veridians subcontractor team members include Advanced Systems
Technology and Management, ARINC, Ausley Associates, DCS, JahnCorp
and J. F. Taylor.
