top growers
06/28/01 - New York, NY
IGI Earth Color was recently chosen as one of the top 50 fastest
growing printers in the country by American Printer (Chicago), a
business-to-business publication serving the graphic arts industry.
IGI Earth Color ranked No. 3, with 246 percent growth over the past
three years.
Now in its eighth year, American Printers Top 50 Fastest
Growing Printers competition honors graphic arts firms with outstanding
growth during the past three years. Winners are selected based on
percent of sales growth from 1998 to 2000. To be eligible, printers
must have been in business for at least three years and have sales
of more than $1 million during 2000. Participants entered by submitting
a Top 50 form bound into American Printers February 2001 issue
or by downloading the form from its website, www.americanprinter.com.
Winners were recognized in the June 2001 issue of American Printer.
"Profits in the printing industry are razor-thin, competition
is fierce and technology is constantly changing. In such a tough
environment, ranking among the top 50 fastest-growing printers in
the U.S. is a testament to a printers business savvy and innovative
management skills," says Katherine OBrien, editor of
American Printer. And while fast growth isnt always
a reliable indicator of profitability, the advantages to ranking
companies based on percentage of revenue growth are simplicity and
objectivity.
"Were pleased to have been chosen as one of American
Printers top 50 fastest-growing printers," adds Robert
Kashan, C.E.O. of IGI Earth Color. We have grown because we
exist to serve our clients.
