American
Fibers & Yarns Introduces Technology at TYAA Conference
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (July 22, 2002) -- American Fibers and Yarns
(AF&Y) serves as a full-service partner to its customers and
manufacturers. Through these relationships, AF&Y turns fibers
and yarns into design tools that provide advanced technology and
improved product benefits that set manufacturers apart from competitors.
One
of the technologies available to the textile industry is false
twist textured warp yarn, which incorporates new polymer texturizing
methods to improve luster and create a softer hand. To help introduce
customers and partners to this process, AF&Y Technical Marketing
Representative Lori Hascher will address the Textured Yarn Association
of America’s (TYAA) 30th Anniversary Technical Conference
July 25-27 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Hascher’s presentation, “American
Fibers & Yarns
Company and the Textured Multi-Filament Yarn Market” will
include an overview of AF&Y and polypropylene yarns as well
as discuss the benefits of false twist textured warp yarns and
how manufacturers can incorporate these yarns into their fabrics.
“
Expanding our false twist textured technology enables AF&Y
to move into new markets and expand our current markets,” said
Hascher, who is based in Greenville, S.C.
