In October 2007, MCP invested in W2 Group, a marketing services firm focused on helping marketing
executives leverage new media, such as the Internet and mobile devices, to promote their products.
W2 focuses on unpaid media, versus advertising, and is particularly focused helping their clients
build and influence web-based communities. W2 serves its clients through two subsidiaries: Racepoint
Group, which is a public relations firm focused on health care and technology customers with particular
strength in leveraging new media, and Digital Influence Group, which is focused on influencing and
building web-based communities on behalf of its clients. W2 was founded in 2004.
