In November 1999, MCP sponsored a management buyout of American Fibers and Yarns Company, a leading manufacturer of value-added polypropylene fibers and yarns for home furnishings, automotive and industrial applications. MCP and management acquired the Company from Amoco Fabrics and Fibers, a division of BP Amoco.
