Technal designs, manufactures and distributes aluminum building systems. Headquartered in France, the Company has subsidiaries in Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Monitor Clipper Partners acquired Technal in 1999 from its parent company, Alcan Aluminum, who was divesting its non-core businesses.

Together, Monitor Clipper Partners and Monitor Group collaborated to develop and implement a new, growth-oriented strategy for the Company. During Monitor Clipper Partners’ ownership of Technal, revenues and EBITDA grew 33 percent and 74 percent, respectively, facilitating the eventual sale of the Company to Norsk Hydro and attractive equity returns for all participants.
